Why have a portrait?

Who created the portrait?
We heard from Nevadans about the skills and mindsets that matter most to them.
Nevada educators, learners, families, businesses, and community members came together to imagine the future of learning, co-design the Portrait of a Nevada Learner, and create action plans for how to bring it to life.

How will I thrive?
How do I build and sustain relationships and community?
How will I grow in my learning?

How will I contribute to make an impact?
“Most of my classes and assessments are based on memory and not actual growth of how concepts are grasped.”
